Cousins
Series Info | Table of Contents
Cousins are people who derive from the same family as you. They may share similar physical traits, interests, and beliefs, but the love they share for each other is special. Think of cousins as brothers and sisters, people who love each other through terrible times. Their love can conquer anything that threatens them.
There is not a day that goes by that I am not thinking of my cousins. Scattered around the world we are, closer we are to the heart. Cousins offer a different kind of sanctuary that enables us to connect with the inner family. They give us shelter from the perils of the world, and in exchange, we give and receive information between each other.
Cousins allow us to see life in different perspectives. I currently live life with no sisters, never experiencing a brother and sister bond. Yet, I have many cousins that are women, and I learn more about myself through them. They give me much love I normally don’t receive, and I feel happy to call them my sisters. They are my light shining through whatever darkness is brewing in my heart.
What makes a family are cousins. Each family has its parents, sons and daughters, but cousins make the bulk of the family. How can there be a family without cousins? The answer is no, it's not a family without them.
Treat cousins as your brothers and sisters, and expect the same affections from them.
There is one cousin of mine who shines the brightest, who is the bravest, and who is the kindest one. She is my lovely sister, who takes care of me, who has shown me much kindness, who is strong.
Love cousins, and love them for the happiness they bring!
