“Sure you don’t mind?” asked Jerry. “I could have taken a cab.”

“No problem, man,” replied his buddy, Kevin. “It’s my pleasure.”  

Jerry’s car was in the shop, and he needed a ride downtown to pick it up. It had snowed heavily overnight, and the streets were yet unplowed.
