Jerry’s friend sounded stressed so he quickly agreed. Upon arriving, she informed Jerry that her partner was in a state of anguish. The old car he had been driving had left him stranded once again. The car had been plagued with problems and this breakdown was inevitable.

“I don’t understand,” said Jerry. “He told me himself the car was a lemon.”

“Yeah, I know,” she replied. “But he sees it as proof of his bad karma.”
