“You know you’re wrong,” said Dave, taking his seat. “Or at least partially.”
I grimaced and made a gesture as though pulling a dagger from my heart.
Dave laughed. I asked him on what expressed opinion I had missed the mark.
“You wrote once that unfulfilled expectations are the source of all frustration.”
“That’s right,” I said, reaching for my coffee cup. “Why is that wrong?”
“OK, it’s not wrong,” acknowledged Dave. “But it doesn’t take it far enough.”
I encouraged him to explain.
