At the same time Erlan had been rushing back with the survivors, Caeda still fought on the front lines. Vanima and her team dispatched the bone horror and faced a group of elves outfitted in black armor. Traitors who helped the dark god wipe out fellow elves.

She wanted to scream when the squad Darunia sent to assist fell, one after the other. Her only consolidation was the traitor's demise when the leader retreated. Caeda's confusion over Vanima's disappearance grew when her blades dimmed while Daruinia’s mental communication cut off mid-sentence.
