The ground rumbled from the force of Elwin's initial launch. The others gawked at the spectacle, Erlan most of all. Shalendra slapped Alea's back and grinned.

“Your people need you. We need to follow."

She composed herself and said, “Cailu and Erlan in the center. Shalendra take point. I will watch our rear. Move out!”

They could follow Elwin's path by the blur of movement kicking up dust until he entered the forest, disappearing. Alea only hoped there was a home to return to when they arrived...
