Several days passed by in a whirlwind of activity. The council met and discussed the news with each district, asking them to meet with every family and cast a vote to aid Elwin or not. The majority determined the district leaders' vote.

It all culminated with a final discussion in front of the council. Elwin and Vanima were present to answer questions. Out of the twelve districts, five were approved, five were rejected, and the last two were undecided.

“Neia from District Five. You request more information before you cast your vote. The floor is yours.”

“Thank you, elder Qamara. My question for Elwin is thus, what proof do you have that the darkness exists?”
