It has been twenty-seven years that I’ve been alone on Earth. I’ve walked the world in that time. Seen the Great Wall of China, the Pyramids, and the Golden Gate Bridge. I have had various companions on my journeys from horses and dogs, to a parrot in Peru and a monkey from Taiwan. But I haven’t seen another human being in nearly thirty years.
At first, I had electricity, and I would leave a television on the new stations, hoping for a glimpse of someone somewhere. I stole food and batteries, though is it theft if you’re the only one left on the planet?
