“Run faster Marx!” Jalie shouted over her shoulder, “The vault should be just down this hallway and through the security chambers.
“Security chambers!” Marx wheezed, “You didn’t tell me there would be security!”
“We are breaking into and using, without authorization, the Conglomerate's most advanced Manipulation Device, of course there’s security!”
“Jalie, if we survive this, I may kill you.”
The two of them dashed down the brightly lit hallway, their heavy rubber feet clanging on the hexagonal grating that ran from the floor up and around the ceiling. Their long white coats flapped behind them but they couldn’t hear it over the roaring of their heartbeats in their ears.
