"Captain! The ship, it's approaching faster!" My second-in-command yelled from the bridge.
"Ay, I see it." Unfortunately, I did see it, and there was nothing I could do about it.
"Orders Sir." He yelled again.
I closed my eyes and tried to remain calm. I had my orders, and no matter how much I disagreed, I didn't have a choice. "Stay our course. Reduce thrusters to twenty percent and drop the shields."
"Captain?" All eyes were on me at that moment, and I watched the faces of my crew, my friends, as they put the pieces together.
"Do as I say."
"Sir." My crew stood at attention and then broke into a fury of activity. My second remained in salute and narrowed his eyes at me.
