I watched from the safety of my park bench as the wind played a game of chase with the fall leaves. Half a dozen of them sped past me, vibrant red and gold leaves fluttered around each other like children dancing the Rosie song.
The soft skittering of their edges on the pavement, their stems getting caught on the small bits of debris causing them to flip up and over themselves. After a minute or so, they died down and settled softly to the ground.
I smiled to myself as the wind restarts the game and one after another the small leaves soar up and after each other, the cycle continuing.
