“Could you guys go in the front door and get their attention? Ask a question about the weather or something to distract them. They aren’t very quick, so one question keeps them busy for a long time. I’ll trade the tools for the chains and then we’ll get out of here. Don’t let any of them get too close to you.”

They nod in agreement, and we head back towards the station.

I wait by the back door until I hear James and Sanford open the front door. I give them ten more seconds and decide to go for it. That’s when I realize the door is locked. It must be the only door in the whole town that is.
