Sanford pulls over not far past Spokane. The sign says we’re in Idaho in a town called Kellogg, but there isn’t a soul in sight. It looks like the place has been abandoned from the day it was established. I smile a little at the thought of people building a ghost town in the middle of nowhere and then walking away.
