For a while, I occupy myself with trying to figure out what I know about the box. It can heal people—we saw that happen with James. It can help me speak to my family in my mind over long distances without being heard by others (hopefully). It apparently also absorbs radiation, as Ryan and I found out when we tested it with the Geiger counter. And then there’s what the fat man said, too: it can be used by people under certain circumstances. And I know that the characters on it are ancient Hebrew. Is it an artifact from before the Flood?
