i want to go
into the wasteland
it's the only place
that's honest
danger and fright
are its defenses
against establishment
so when the world
curls into itself in
desperation, blindly
arrogantly building walls
shutting out truth
and insulating me
in what i'm supposed
to think
i will escape
i will fling myself
into the unknown
in order to know
and i will hold out my hand
to you
come with me
