what do you do
when the words are gone
soaked into the world
and just
gone
i'm lost in a swirl
of letters that make
no sense
foundering in a jumble
of half sounds
so the inside of my head
resembles the cacophony
of a midnight jungle
trying to sleep
but i'm trying to wake up
kick my mind
out of sluggishness
what do you do
when the words hide
just out of reach
