Garrett slouched back on the couch, shifting his gaze from Grace to Ratchik. "Let me get this straight. Monsters are real. Dragons, the boogieman, all of it. And you guys knew. For years."

"A little over two years," Ratchik said. His aviators swung between thumb and forefinger.

"And you didn't tell anybody."

"Until now, there was no reason to. We'd been able to cap the incidents and keep them under wraps. That isn't happening now."
