my heart hurts so

because I just don’t understand why

my heart keeps hurting anymore.

I gave everything to you

I took care of you

and took you everywhere.

I was so happy

you were my dream come true

but now I know I meant nothing to you.

I would have given up anything

for what you needed

because that’s what I wanted to do.

I weep so deeply

because my heart can’t understand

how to handle loss.

Sitting in my bathtub

i slice the blade upon my skin

in hopes to feel

something again.
