This past weekend I took down our Christmas tree. It’s the first full weekend in January and the timing feels right. In the past I’ve left it up longer, but that’s mostly been during years when it snowed and continued to feel like Christmas. This year it’s mostly been gloomy and raining and doesn’t feel very festive.

The timeframe after the holidays usually feels like a letdown to me it’s nice to extend the holiday season sometimes. I suppose that’s why I leave my tree up longer sometimes. I’m also feeling unmotivated. I don’t like to admit this, but I suppose others feel this way as well.

But as I get further away from the holidays and more into a routine, I feel like things are getting easier. Maybe it’s just that holidays...
