It’s been about a month since I went back to work. This time I went back only part time. I got the call during a sizzling summer day while I was at the gym. Work wanted me to come back.

I shouldn’t say only part time, but after spending nine months working full time after my son was born, I knew that going back full time wasn’t the best thing for me. I had thoroughly enjoyed our work free and carefree summer and I couldn’t imagine logging forty hours at the office and away from my little guy.

So part time was my choice and fortunately my company was agreeable. I felt very fortunate in the I was able to work out that arrangement. I seemed to have struck the perfect balance, or at least I hope that I have.
