I remember when I was growing up as a teenager there was always this discussion of peer pressure. While there is still peer pressure going on, I do believe currently there is more societal pressure than anything else.

The pressures of society are much different than what I would consider to be ‘peer pressure’. The common remark when faced with a ‘peer pressure’ decision would be, “If your friend jumped off a bridge would you?” Of course the answer is, “No”, but I think the current problem is that more people are jumping off the bridge and landing directly into your lap to judge you.

I think one of the biggest areas of societal pressure revolves around marriage and starting a family. I’ve seen it over and over with friends. It’s been heavily discussed...
