As a women who is currently six months pregnant I have shared some photos and thoughts on being pregnant via social media. In some ways I have shared more than I expected but after having a long and difficult road to motherhood, I felt that it was something I wanted to share.

However, in a few months, this will no longer be my story to share. It will be my son’s story, which of course raises many questions for me. One of which is the use of social media.

I’ve had a long time to think about this and I really don’t want to have my child on social media. What are the ramifications of putting his picture out there? We just don’t know yet.

I would like him to have some say in what people see.  After all it will be his life, his schooling years,...
