I cried when he left for work today.

That was out of the ordinary but yesterday was not an ordinary day.

Yesterday five police officers were killed and I’m afraid for him to go to work.

I wanted to tell him to stay home but that would be foolish and selfish of me.

I have no words of comfort; nothing encouraging to say.

I know that I appreciate what you are doing, but I don’t know if others ever will.
