I don't like background extra work because it's low pay, long hours, and frankly dull. But when my agent asked if she could submit me for extra work on a cable TV show, I thought, why not, I've never worked on a TV show.

A surprise to both my agent and me, they booked me within a few hours. My ginger hair makes me useless for most background extra work. It stands out, and the last thing a production wants is an extra that stands out.
