Forget about distracted driving. My recent trips to the mountains and the ocean beaches suggest many drivers don't need a cell phone to divert their attention.

The local yokel glides along on their way home through the countryside. Their determination to enjoy the ride home back to the homestead keeps them at 40 mph in a 55 mph zone on a two-lane road. No matter how many cars pile up behind them.

The dazed driver going 45 mph in the left lane in a 60 mph zone realizes it. Changes lanes and takes off like a shot, with their right blinker still on, and on and on.

The urbane driver performing the Seattle traffic dance.  This dance consists of yielding right of way to drivers who do not have it. Politeness took to a new level of insanity.
