I have this thing about fashion.  I don't buy Louis Vuitton or designer clothes on purpose.  Buying them on sale works for me if the style fits.  But I don't get psyched from dangling a COACH bag on my arm.

Society's fashion memory is brief.  Dress codes emphasize gender differences, but styles change drastically over the centuries.  Especially men's fashion.

What got me started on this discourse? An article about the feminization of men in western society.  In the US, the more conservative operate on the John Wayne/Marine vision of masculine. Little talk, buzz cut, and no nail polish.
