Accepting Compliments

The DP tells me he was scared as he filmed me surging down the narrow passage. That's a compliment as I'm a witch in a horror flick. I thank him.

Acting is a profession where you like compliments like this as it means you're doing your job. This business also teaches you new skills. On this picture, I learned how to gut a fish.

The director called me to complete some pickup shots. He mentioned he needed more cooking/kitchen shots. Sounded good to me as I worked with cuts of meat during the main shoot.

The Shoot

We begin, and he unwraps a whole dead fish which rolls out onto the cutting board. Its dead eyes stare at me. Is it gutted? He asks.

I poke at its belly. No...
