Ours will be a great

design,

unfettered by the mistakes

of the past

we instead will

machine our path

forward

knowing now what

our ancestors

did not

we will work

deliberately

as they must not

have done

and ours shall be

a greater future,

fashioned upon what

we know now

that they did not

and we will be

better for it.

 

Unlike those before,

we have laid

history bare upon

the cold slab

we have ruthlessly and

brutishly dissected it

pulling it apart to find

the nasty bits

the jagged edges to

the straight line of

time

posthumously growing

or receding

as we clutch them...
