another familiar landscape eroded

the timber plucked and harvested

put to god knows what ends

so the people may now rest assured

no more trees will fall

not on that stretch of road, anyway

another landmark destroyed,

bulldozed into great heaps of scrap

an old building, older than any living

residents, from an era where

things were built to stand the test

of time, but evidently not the test

of other men

now ghost piles of debris

adding to an ever growing hole

in a town without much left

another great entropyse

thought out, designed, budgeted and abandoned

by community organizers, all transplants

from out of town who plan big, dream

big and embezzle mo...
