boulders and small trees, and the incline was at around forty-five degrees, allowing a clear view all the way to the bottom.  It took a few moments for her to find the rusted and twisted metal shape of a sedan resting on its roof near the valley floor – stripped of all the removable items leaving only the shell behind.  It looked as if it had been there for a few years.  Drake pulled her gently by the arm back in the direction of the BMW.

“Let’s keep moving.”

They covered another kilometer before a second section of broken barrier came into view.  This time the drop off was much steeper, almost directly downwards.  As Amanda approached the broken barrier, she noticed that it was rusted, which was an indication that it had been damaged a fairly distant time...
