Amanda Hoyer loved Sundays for two reasons; firstly, it was usually the only day of the week that she didn’t have to work and could spend time at home with her son, and secondly, all the reruns of her favorite TV series were shown on Channel 104 in the afternoon, which meant she got to put her feet up and relax with a glass of red wine and sometimes a box of tissues, while Jimmy played computer games in his room later in the day.  The exception this Sunday was that Jimmy was not home.  Not having him around felt strange.  She couldn’t remember a weekend in the past twelve years that they hadn’t spent together!  When the school camp had come up, and she had been convinced by the school’s guidance counselor, Mr. Hale, that att...
