The first thing she became aware of was how perfect the warmth of the blanket was. So light, and yet so warm. She never wanted it to be moved off her. Was she sleeping? Who had put it there? It wasn't her usual blanket. 

She started to open her eyes, but it seemed so bright in the room and she wanted to sleep longer. She closed them again.

"Jayne."

It was his voice. She thought she had dreamt about him, but she wasn't sure. 

"I'm so tired. So heavy." She couldn't seem to move.

"Everything's alright, you're safe. Just sleep." She felt a hand on her brow. "We won't leave you."

She drifted off again.
