The leaves were already changing on the plane trees in Berkley Square where Jayne sat on a bench, awaiting Lucy. She had chosen the location as it was a short walk from Lucy's office, and they should make the most of the early Autumn sunshine.
Jayne needed to talk to someone, and Lucy seemed safest. Though she didn't believe for a moment that Lucy deserved Cade's silver star of suspicion, she still planned to be circumspect.
