The first row at the theatre at Delphi was already taken up with people so Lucas and Jayne sat in the second row, which was about half full. The ancient theatre original accommodated five thousand people according to Jayne's guidebook but much of the uppermost seating area was now crumbling.

While it wasn't quite a toga party, some effort had been made by many audience members to dress with respect to ancient Greek costume and a lot of people were wearing white. Jayne was rather glad to have chosen a white sundress as she blended more with the crowd. The night air was cool on her skin and she wrapped a stole around her.
