Raphael’s research was quite clear. Their data suggested a particular lineage of apes had been mutating throughout the ages in a fashion irregular to “The Plan’s” designs. No such mutations were originally conceived by Father or any Angel. By Rapahel’s projections, the changes in the apes’ biology would have them eventually evolve into an entirely unplanned creature.
