My Sweet Baby Girl,

     I want to tell you about your step-grandpa, Carl Cunningham, although he considered himself your grandpa.  I think your daddy would agree wholeheartedly.

     Carl was an unusual and extraordinary man.  He could make you laugh when you were already crying and make you feel instantly better.  It was a gift he had.

     He could quote almost any line in any movie he’d ever seen after only seeing the movie once.

     He was so generous with his time, and money, and would do anything for his friends and family.

     Carl had a strong work ethic and was the most hardworking person I ever knew.
