"That is a whole lot of cop cars," Taylor said when she and Evie pulled up at the bus station.
In the glow of a dozen sets of red and blue lights, Evie nodded. She glanced up at the rearview mirror at the sound of squealing tires. Regina's truck swung into the parking lot. Carlotta threw the truck into park in the middle of the aisle and hurried over to Evie's SUV.
"I talked to a guy inside. They haven't seen anyone fitting the description of--" She frowned. "Dad or Jimmy."
Regina caught the tail end of her daughter's sentence as she climbed out of the truck. "Your father is here?"
