Trivial, trivial.

Everything is trivial.

We toil daily under the sun,

chasing pleasure, stability, and relevance,

only to grasp at our desires that fulfill for a moment.  

The simplicities of life can seem unappealing,

when we set our eyes on things too far out of reach.

We stretch out our hands, waiting

to be rewarded for our strife in this life,

but nothing is ever enough.

No amount of incentive can satiate that void,

that longing for purpose.

As we constantly search for solace,

we wander down a myriad of paths that

will ultimately lead to the starting point,

restarting the cycle of the chase all over again.
