Beauty walks in the night     sometimes

cloaked behind long withering days.

A season overspent, yet     unfinished,

desires a final word.

Pale eyes gleam beneath age     frailty

clings to bruised pear, ripened Mcintosh.

Thorny bones protrude, yet     connected,

tether stories to behold.
