Colors come in tints;

primarily sky,

golden sun,

and fall-crisp gala.

Shaded by night

under stars,

incandescent,

until light finds way

between gaps,

fallen logs, and leaves

not quite decomposed,

only collected in quietude.

Morning light

stretches

through ivory lace.

Delicate painted branches

create patterns

to stories; old

blended generations

in hues of heritage.
