Oh Dandelion,

I always knew you were a flower;

golden petals like the sun.

You deserve your spot in the garden,

so grow.

Stretch your leaves and reach your roots,

far into the earth’s soil                        as night shades into day,

deep as the stars                                  are sunk in the sky,

wide like the river’s mouth                 hungers for salty seas,

turn your face into the light
