It’s a double edged sword.  Nighttime in a big city. The lights come on advertising a side show that you don’t see in daylight. The city feels close and people take more chances under the veil of semi darkness. That darkness helps to shroud those flaws of the city that cry out in the sunlight and keeps wandering eyes off other goings on.
