Roadside diners and New Jersey are almost synonymous. There are more diners in the Garden State than any other state giving way to New Jersey’s claim of the diner capital of the United States and possibly the world. The casual informal atmosphere along with great food provides an oasis for hungry nighthawks, shift workers, truck drivers, and travelers.
As you drive through north Jersey toward New York City the serene farm landscape fades away into griminess and transforms into an endless sea of odd shaped factories and warehouses. Miles and miles of thriving industry dotted with thousands of those large tanks sitting like overstuffed burnt gray marshmallows squatting in the middle of industrial evolution.
