“Come on, Karl,” said Clara. “I’ll help you carry these down and set them up.”
She would come back and sort Hani out later.
“I really don’t know that it’s such a good idea.” Karl and Clara started putting the pots of paint and the paper out on the tables. “The girl gets in the way more than anything else. She holds us up all the time.”
“Give her time, Karl. She’s young and a bit self-conscious.”
Karl sighed. “I suppose so.”
They worked in silence for a few minutes.
Clara neatened the materials on the last of the tables. “There. All done. I expect you’ll get them to do some lovely pictures tomorrow. You might get her to help.”
