Bianca…

Wow, I must say, I’m presently at quite the loss for words regarding your admission of dishonesty.  I know what you’re thinking, Amazing that’s possible, right? And yet… here the world is still somehow spinning.

I will admit this new story of yours is much better than the convenience store happenstance though, so there is that, but there is still a certain amount of… unbelievablity, insomuch as, neither story is the sort of thing you think an unwitting individual would get themselves caught up in without a gun to their head.

Regardless the validity of either story, the unfortunate reality is you’ve now lost all credibility through your recanting, especially when the reasons, as you mention, were for dumbing down of your… higher elevated crime stats.

Who is to say you don’t change your story again in a few months, perhaps evolve it into your being an unwitting accomplice to a homicide? All you’d have to do is say you rolled over one of the police officers chasing after the car. You’d still be able to persist in the circumstances being accidental that way, after all.

In all reality, it’s probably too bad you weren’t actually the unwitting robbery getaway driver of your original story. I’m not a lawyer and can’t speak in terms of crimes and the respective punishments they carry, but you may have only gotten a slap on the wrist had that been the real case.

Who knows, as I sit here thinking, maybe my largest concern is just your being fraudulent to get people to write to you. Telling your true prison origin story might seem like a riskier gambit in drumming up fans, but this newest version is a lot more interesting than just… ‘I was a getaway driver for a robbery.’ People also appreciate the truth. Then again, if your writing voice is any indication – ‘when (you are) in the clutch’ and ‘laser of focus,’ as it were– you don’t seem too remorseful for your ‘reflex’ actions, so maybe a lot of what I am writing isn’t even direct concern of yours anymore, anyway.

On the other hand… maybe it’s funny you have the two stories you tell. It could be kind of like… Two different versions of the same Marvel comic character e.g. ‘The Amazing Bianca Farrah’; ’ Spectacular Bianca Farrah’. Don’t forget the futuristic ‘Bianca Farrah 2099’ spinoff. You know the title where your avatar’s in for like- eight counts of fraud and… maybe like- reckless, child endangerment.

(My assumption being, you –along with the majority of humankind– have given up your body to assimilate with the machine –becoming avatars– the singularity having happened sometime around the year 2074; and not because of immoral, but lawful prison experiments). Or maybe there’s some alternative reality take where you are the Warden of the prison and not an actual inmate. Your having received your BS in Criminal Justice with a focus in Law Enforcement Administration from Penn State; foregoing a masters for real world experience.

Not forgetting the ol’ time tested: ‘clone-who-dawns-a-different-pair-of-coveralls-because-at-first-she-thought-she-was-you, but-later-is-convinced-she-isn’t, but-then-isn’t-completely-sure-she’s-not, but-then, when-real-you-gets-thrown-in-the-hole-or-sent-to-infirmary-she, the-clone, does-you-a-solid-by-putting-on-your-coveralls-and-assumes-your-identity-to-kind-of-like-- ‘hold-your-place‘-for-you-while-you’re-gone’ trope (Albeit there is no real explanation for where you, as the clone; who is posing as your own alter ego, goes while the real you is away, because, well, that’s just too difficult a narrative to flesh out with(out) a larger (limited) number of pages and volumes in the one-off series). Oh, and lest I forget the version where a minority inmate assumes your mantle to serve your time, but in reality she’s the only one of all the convict versions/timelines ‘wrongfully’ convicted and… ‘maintains’ said ‘wrongful’ conviction, even going so far as to earn her law degree AND the Masters you -as the alternate reality warden- didn’t want to, trying to clear her name, whilst… also posing as you.

So, as you can see there are all sorts of different stories you could implement.

Anyway, Tisk tisk on your being deceitful. Then again, what ‘con’ by definition isn’t? Whoops, confusing ‘convict’ with ‘confidence,’ albeit there is a certain commonality there regardless the difference, isn’t there?  But, considering all this I may have to reassess just how close I let you get here on out. So at the least this is like- ‘Strike one’ in your pen-pal batting count.
