Problem: During my usual morning inspection rounds on 8/5, I found a large number of dead crows in the area that was inadvertently cleared during the annual campout. Based on initial inspection, there was no clear cause of death to these birds. I did not perform a manual count of the birds; suffice it to say that the entire area was blanketed with dead birds.

I did remove two bird corpses from the edges of the cleared area to examine more closely. This closer examination similarly did not give any indication of the birds’ cause of death. As I am not a biologist, let alone a zoologist, I can determine little more from these corpses.
