Letter from Director Ace to the Cunninghams, August 4, 2003

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham,

I must admit that your faxed letter of July 31st has us here at Camp Fairmarsh a bit confused. You ask about the well-being of your daughter, Brooke Cunningham. However, despite Brooke’s regular attendance at Camp Fairmarsh in previous summers, we find that she is not on the roster of campers this summer. And this does not appear to simply be a clerical error--in checking with camp staff, Brooke Cunningham has not been at camp at all this summer.

We are absolutely baffled as to what has happened, particularly as to your belief that she is enrolled at Camp Fairmarsh this summer. Many of our administrative records are kept off-site, but we also inquired there, and it appears that the letters sent...
