Announcement of auditions for “Shadows of a Great City,” July 27, 2003

Come one, come all, to the official auditions for Camp Fairmarsh’s annual summer dramatic presentation. This year, we will be performing “Shadows of a Great City,” as adapted by Dori and Kitty Pryde. The original play dates back to the earliest years of Camp Fairmarsh, and was, in fact, performed on these very grounds 120 years ago. Unfortunately, the original script has been lost to the ravages of time, so we have reconstructed a plausible script to the best of our ability.

Because the time between the auditions and the play is short, memorization of the script will not be required. But additional consideration will be given to those who believe they can memorize their parts in time for the presentation of...
