An excerpt from Jessika Yamaguchi’s diary, July 22, 2003

It’s 10 o’clock at night, and I’m writing this with the light of my glow in the dark pajama pants, because it’s 10 o’clock at night, and I shouldn’t even be awake right now.

I heard the laughter again, only this time, it wasn’t in the cabin. A bunch of us went on a nighttime hike to check out the stars, and I decided to go along. There are a ton of stars out here that you would never see in the city. It’s kind of awesome, in the true sense of that word.

Anyway, as we’re walking back, I found myself alongside Firebug and Morningstar, up near the head of the group. The laughter sound came from somewhere in the woods along the side of the path. I froze, and so did Fire...
