Letter from Brooke Cunningham to Hailey “Hailey’s Comet” O’Hare, July 22, 2003

Dear Hailey’s Comet,

O! M! G! You know how everyone at school always says that all of this camping is going to turn us into lesbians? NO, I haven’t decided to become a lesbian. But two of the girls in Cabin 8--Alexis and Mary--are now sleeping with their beds pushed together and holding hands in their sleep! Can you believe it?

It kind of figures with these two. Neither of them are pretty at all, and the one shouldn’t even be at camp, because she’s asthmatic and wears glasses and stuff. I guess even nerds can find love, if they look hard enough.
